Preventing a Mass Attack Is Possible
If you know the signs to look out for
Some violent mass attacks can be prevented – especially if you know the warning signs.
You see, in the lead-up to some of the most heinous mass attacks we’ve recently seen, including . . .
- The Boston Marathon bombing
- The Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando
- The Mother Emanuel AME Church shooting in Charleston
. . . there were indicators of what was about to happen. In some cases, the perpetrators even leaked their plans to others.
But tragically, no one intervened to help stop these attacks.
So how can we prevent more from happening in the future? And how might we, as practitioners, be uniquely situated to help in this effort?
How to Recognize the Warning Signs of a Mass Attacker
We’ve teamed up with Peter Langman, PhD – one of the most sought-after experts on the psychology and prevention of mass attackers – to develop a live, interactive workshop.
In this course, he’ll break down the key warning signs and steps that can help stop mass attacks, including:
- The psychological factors and traumas that can pave the way to violence
- Key themes and grievances that commonly motivate individuals to carry out attacks
- Specific questions and areas of exploration to help you assess a client’s level of threat
- How to identify potential danger and recognize the warning signs of an impending attack
- How practitioners can be a key line of defense in helping prevent future attacks
It takes a collective effort to help prevent these types of devastating attacks – and you’re a key part of it.
So please join us for the live workshop on Wednesday, March 27 from 1-4pm Eastern Time.
There will be an opportunity to ask Dr. Langman your questions during a Q&A portion of the workshop.
Not only that, but your registration includes a video recording and transcript of the presentation so you can watch (or rewatch) whenever its convenient for you.

Why the Transcript Is Essential:
- The transcript makes it easy to go back and double check concepts, citations and names that are mentioned
- We put in a table of contents to make it easy for you to find the exact part of the webinar you need
- Having the concepts already written allows you to take notes on how you’re going to use the ideas rather than transcribing the ideas
- Some people simply learn better by reading than by listening or watching
“I really liked being able to follow along with the transcripts as I listened…it was nice not to feel like I had to take notes. I really feel like I remember more when I both hear and see at the same time.”
