Anger, Love, and Forgiveness:
Powerful and Effective Interventions for Managing and Healing Anger and Related Mind/Body Maladies
William DeFoore, PhD

Powerful emotions such as anger, love, and forgiveness run deep with psychological and physical impact. This one-day master class will begin with participants exploring the role of anger with its complexity of perceptions and misperceptions. By dissecting the role of anger in relation to other emotions, participants will learn the intricacies of anger: why it becomes toxic, how it elicits the revenge/retaliation response, and how it relates to the Jungian concept of the shadow. Just as important, will be identifying the relationship between anger, love, and forgiveness with its dynamic interplay for healing a wide variety of psychological and physical ailments. By using innovative approaches from guided imagery, Gestalt theory, body posturing, and voice dialogue, participants will learn hands-on therapeutic interventions that include specific techniques for managing healthy anger release and breakthrough strategies for facilitating forgiveness.
