Effective Integrative Treatment of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Headache: Unlocking the Secrets of Internal Self Healing

Mark Weisberg PhD, ABPP
Alfred Clavel Jr. MD

Two of the most common and difficult disorders presenting in primary care settings are fibromyalgia and chronic daily headache. Often patients are left feeling frustrated, hopeless, and in distress when standard treatments for these conditions don't work, but if treated as dysregulation syndromes, these disorders are much better understood. In this workshop, participants will understand the fundamentals for conceptualizing fibromyalgia and chronic daily headache as examples of dysregulation syndromes, learn why many traditional treatments for these disorders are ineffective or insufficient, and gain practical experience on treatment approaches with four practical, specific strategies to use with patients.
