The Exquisite Risk:
Daring to Lead an Authentic Life

Mark Nepo, DA

As a cancer survivor, poet and spiritual teacher Mark Nepo shares the shattering of one life into an array of deeper relationships to self, others, the world, and to the source and mystery of life itself...all of which have transformed him and kept him alive. Through his personal story and its lessons, participants will learn resources and skills from many traditions on how to negotiate life and be present in the world without losing sight of who we are. Using his own near death journey as a doorway, we will explore together the very nature of God, self, and medicine with their intrinsic kinships, as well as the implications that such innate connections can have for our service and call as healers to combine our medicine of being with our medicine of doing.
