Reiki Energy Medicine: Enhance Your Ability to Soothe Pain, Manage Stress, and Promote Well-Being

Libby Barnett, MS

Reiki is an ancient, gentle, hands-on healing art that reconnects us with our ability to heal both ourselves and others. It blends easily with conventional healthcare and other disciplines, enhancing therapeutic skills without depleting the caregiver. Reiki requires no extra time from the caregiver because it can be performed while carrying out other functions. Patients often report feeling less pain and anxiety, needing fewer medications, and having quicker recovery times when Reiki is used to augment their treatment. In this workshop, participants will learn how to identify patients who can benefit from Reiki, understand the benefits of a Reiki treatment, and learn how to integrate Reiki into medical settings. Since Reiki facilitates balance and harmony in the caregiver as well as the client, Reiki provides the healthcare professional with an easy to use self-care tool for renewal, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
